This Easter season, we decided to show the Passion of the Christ in different communities. The results are very encouraging. We started in our church communities: at the first church, “Source d’Eaux Vives”, we had a little over 50 people that came on Good Friday to see the movie. After the movie, we had an altar call and over 15 people gave their lives to Jesus. The second showing of the movie was a week after at our second church, “Cite de Vie”. The movie was shown in the open air, it is not possible to tell how many people saw the movie or gave their lives to Jesus, but well over 40 people prayed the sinner’s prayer that night. We did not have the chance to finish the movie, since we had a power outage that fortunately happened after the death of Jesus in the movie.
We have another showing scheduled for this Friday April 16th. It will also be an open air showing, we are expecting over 150 people to see the movie. It will be in a poor neighborhood where there is no electricity, so we have asked someone to lend us their generator. This movie is a tremendous depiction of the love our Lord has for us, it is great to share this movie and its meaning with so many people.
