Greetings friends!

We are so excited about God leading our family so far on this Hope is Here Christmas Tour!!!! The Lord is doing great things and we are overjoyed! 

Our heart’s cry is that God use us as a family to be a vehicle of His Hope in this dark season drawing people to Himself, inspiring families to walk together and igniting Churches to press on!

Our tour kicked off with a dynamic concert at Riverside Church in Lynchburg. They loved it so much Pastor Jim invited us to lead the November 29th service as well. The Sengas were also featured singing Angels We Have Heard on Liberty University Coffeehouse, a talent spotlight they do each semester.

Currently we are all piled in the car headed to Wilmington,NC. This is a Divine Connection. A Pastor we have yet to meet in person and know only through common missionary friends, invited us down to join them for their night of Christmas Worship on the beach. They have generously offered to put us up in a hotel tonight so we can continue on to Winston Salem before dawn tomorrow! Our God provides abundantly as we walk in His purposes!

For the month of December our family is reading through the book of Luke. Today’s reading in Luke 5 entailed the recount of Jesus telling the fishermen to launch out into the deep after catching nothing all night. This was such a poignant encouragement to us as we start a tour when the ministry has been financially dry and with the global pandemic encouraging shutdown the turnout is uncertain. God is leading us into deeper waters and He never fails His people.

Live For You

My first EP "Live For You" is almost here!

I pray that this album encourages others to live out their lives fully for Jesus. Colossians 3:23 says,"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." This verse was an inspiration to this album and has been a really crucial verse in my life. It has encouraged me to do everything for God and His kingdom.

Wow I can't believe it! We just passed our 10 year anniversary as a ministry. 10 years ago I was 5 years old and so pumped to go to Congo. It was my first airplane ride, and I loved the experience. Living life on the mission field has taught me so much! How to be flexible, lead worship, be friendly, care for others, and put God first. But a big theme looking back now is trust. It has taught me to put my trust in God! No matter what I might be going through, or how big my problem might seem I've learned to trust God!

Today marks our 10 year anniversary for ministry in the Congo!!!
On April 3rd of 2009, I took my first step in the Congo and God has been with me every step of the way! During my time spent here I have not only been able to impact others for Christ, I have also been shaped into the man I am today. I don't know where I would be if my parents hadn't obeyed God and brought us on this amazing adventure. @ Kinshasa, Congo

Teachers Needed - Missionary opportunities

Kinshasa Christian School is a K-12 school located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo launched in 2013 by an American missionary family.  Rapidly it grew to serve the local community in a very unique way.   Birthed from a homeschool program, it is a real family where it does not take long to belong. 

We aim to train up leaders for the next generation.  We strive to do that through rigorous academics, a strict respect of Christian values, in a fun and engaging environment.  Our class size is limited to 20 students so that we can devote the necessary attention to our students to ensure success.

We are seeking a 3^rd Grade and a 5^th Grade teacher and also English, math and science teachers at the Upper School level.  This is a mid to long term mission assignment.  We request a pastoral referral as part of the application process and a fundraising strategy and goal as potential teachers will work on raising their support.  We will provide any necessary support to help in the fundraising efforts.

Job Requirements: 

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,
• Bachelor’s Degree,
• Teaching experience preferred.
• The ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Organizational and basic computer and clerical skills.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Be professional, dedicated, high energy, nurturing, and punctual.
• Have the ability to be part of a dedicated and talented teaching staff  

 Application process: 

• Fill out application form
• Submit pastoral referral (pastor from currently attended church)
• Submit fundraising goal and strategy.  

We will supply an estimate of minimum living expenses in the Congo to help in the goal setting process.

Congo Container 2017

Since June we have been blessed beyond measure with quality desks/chairs to help furnish our school in Congo.  Now we need your help making this container shipment to Kinshasa, Congo a reality! The total cost for the local trucking, packing, and international shipping is projected at $15,000.  So far we have been able to raise $2,000 towards these costs.  Any donation towards the remaining $13,000 would be a great blessing in making equipping our K-12 christian school KCS a reality.

Thank you for a successful trip

In June, few days after the last day of school, a group of 20 of us, seventeen students and 3 adults, flew to the USA for a three weeks trip.
We want to thank Faith Christian Fellowship church of Baltimore Maryland, and River Oaks Community Church of Clemmons North Carolina for making this trip a possibility and a great success.  It was a life changing experience for all of us.

Kinshasa Christian School

The School: Kinshasa Christian School is a K to 12 educational institution in the Democratic Republic of Congo following American Christian curricula.  We follow a rigorous academic program while stressing extra-curricular activities making the learning process very enjoyable for the students as well as the teachers and volunteers.

Community: Kinshasa Christian School (KCS) is situated in the commune of Ngaliema in Kinshasa.  Its location attracts internationals living in Kinshasa as well as Congolese interested in the English/ American education.

Faculty: Our faculty is composed of internationals mainly from the United State of America, and from locals that are required to go through our yearly training to introduce, and establish the American education in the school.

At this moment we just want to say have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Dear friends and partners in the ministry,

One more year is about to end, a great opportunity for us to stop and reflect on what the Lord has allowed us to do and plan for the future.

This year is probably the year with the least communication with you.  In 2013 we started the school, Kinshasa Christian School, which in the beginning of 2014 started running the risk of closing up for lack of financing.  At that point, we entered into a frenzy, multiplying activities at the school to get the school to survive.  Our school day started at 7am to end at 7pm every single day.  Our week end were centered on the ministry, and on vacations and breaks, we would organize English camps, or Vacation Bible School.  We used one break this year to go visit the church in the province of Bandundu. 

We were pleased to see a strong growing church.  They are harvesting along with what we have sown spiritually, peanuts, and corn.  We have supplied farming tools and seeds so that they can plant crops for the needs of the church and its members.

We were constantly running to get things done and we are happy to report that as the year is getting to an end, the overview is very positive:

·         The local church in Macampagne after a long moment of downward trend in participation and attendence is experiencing a renewed growth again, while the other churches continue to grow and to be healthy despite the many challenges.

·         The school which had 9 students for most of the year last year is today at 40 students and by January could reach 50 students.  We have had some negative experiences with the school we were buying, the deal fell through so we are back to the original school.

·         We were able to build up a great team of leaders and administrators that very effectively manage the school and the church so that we can take a very needed time away from everything to regroup, and refocus.  My family and I are currently on vacation in South Africa.

As always all this could not have been possible without your support.  We thank you for your support and your prayers. 

Allow me to ask, as we get to the end of this year a bit more.  This year has been the leanest as far as financial contribution, we received on a average 250 USD a month a tenth of the family monthly budget.  Would you consider giving a little more?  The ministry is going forward, the gospel is being preached, lives are being changed, the poor is being ministered to, the next generations are being trained...please continue partnering with us, together we will achieve more.

We want to express our appreciation for all you have done to help advance the Kingdom of God through our ministry.

Kinshasa Christian School is a K to 12 school located in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo with a capacity of 200 students.  It was launched in 2013 with k-2 and is scheduled to open the remaining classes for the school year 2014-2015.

So much, but so little time

We feel like there is no time for us to catch our breath.  We have moved and then moved again, and we started a school, trained a new group of ministers among them people from the mission in Kikwit.  And we keep on going.  Here are some of the pictures from our lives in the last 10 months.

Thank You For Your Partnership

Dear partners, 

Another year comes to an end, and our hearts are filled with thanksgiving and we are truly grateful for all that you have done to advance the Kingdom of God through our ministry.

Your giving this past year has allowed us to build a new shelter for our church in Kintambo (neighborhood in Kinshasa), build bathrooms, and plant a church in the province of Bandundu.  I need to put all of this in perspective so that you can see what all of this really means.

For about a year, we were able to get over one hundred people under that shelter for worship services, sheltered from the sun and light rains.  This resulted in many souls being saved, people being taught and encouraged to live lives that honor God.  Some people that we are reaching are staying away from church because of inadequate bathrooms.  The improvement we did in our sanitary installations allowed us to have something a little bit more adequate so that some felt more comfortable to come out and worship with us.

And finally the church in Kikwit 3, a village in the Bandundu province is a real success.  Week after week we receive great reports on the work that is being done there.  Material challenges are greater, but the joy and simplicity with which the people receive the good news is such an encouragement.  Since our presence in that village, we have had over 200 souls saved, an average of 80 people come weekly to worship there.   YES, you our partners, help us doing that.

We are so thankful.

We have new challenges for the New Year, and we need your help, continue to partner with us, so that together we can work on advancing the Kingdom of God.
